It features two key products: a device for venues and a portable device for artists on tour. The venue device is installed in music venues and autonomously tracks the music played, transmitting this data to Performance Rights Organisations (PROs) and providing a dashboard for venue owners. For artists and DJs on tour, the portable device captures live music performances and communicates this data to an artist dashboard and PROs. Utilising advanced audio recognition technology, Vollou can identify even live-altered music, ensuring precise data collection for accurate royalty payments.

The Vollou device collects data by converting audio tracks into digital fingerprints locally, ensuring no raw audio is stored or transmitted. This fingerprint is then sent to Vollou's servers for recognition, and the associated metadata—like track title, artist, duration, and playback time—is stored. This process upholds privacy, as only essential data is collected and securely handled, primarily to facilitate accurate royalty distributions and provide insights on the user dashboards.
